Role Overview
A Northern QLD hospital requires a Specialist in Paediatrics for the period 05/01/2026 to 07/08/2026.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of a tertiary paediatric cardiology service within the Cairns Hospital and Health service and to the wider Northern Queensland region.
Provide ambulatory and inpatient care to children and young people requiring subspecialty cardiology services.
Care for a population that includes high numbers of Indigenous children in remote communities with high rates of rheumatic heart disease.
Subspecialty interests, including foetal echocardiography and/or imaging, are highly desirable.
Hours are flexible, with no on‐call or weekend work.
Duration and Compensation
Duration: 05/01/2026 – 07/08/2026.
Daily rate: AUD 2,300.00.
