Job Overview
The Director Strategic Engagement plays a pivotal role in promoting awareness of the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework, the Child Safe Standards, and the Reportable Conduct Scheme across the Tasmanian community.
This key position influences and leads cultural change by building capacity and capability in organisations to be child-safe in line with the Child Safe Standards and the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Direction: Provide technical leadership as a director within the leadership team of the organisation.
* Communication Strategy: Develop a communication strategy for the Office and prepare advice and strategy to address emerging stakeholder issues.
* Community Development: Lead the development of a Community of Practice related to Child Safe Standards across the Tasmanian community.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with government and non-government stakeholders on organisational compliance with the Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
* Educational Activities: Oversee the development and management of education activities and presentations on the operations of the Office.
* Engagement Techniques: Provide specialised advice on effective engagement techniques and practices designed to target stakeholders and members of the public.
* Effectiveness Evaluation: Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative measures to evaluate the effectiveness of activities that engage with stakeholders and the wider community.
Requirements
* A current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
