The Role: WHSEQ Consultant (Internal)
This is an internal Safetec role embedded within our consulting team. You will work across a range of clients and projects, supporting WHSEQ system development, auditing, documentation, incident support, training and site engagement. The role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a consultancy environment, and wants to broaden their WHSEQ capability across different industries and operational settings.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting multiple clients under our WHSEQ Retainer and consulting model
* Developing and improving WHSEQ documentation
* Conducting audits, inspections and system reviews
* Supporting incident investigations and corrective action management
* Assisting with training, inductions and safety culture engagement activities
* Working across various locations (metro, regional, project sites) as required
* Collaborating with senior consultants to deliver high‑quality, practical WHSEQ outcomes
About You
* Minimum Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
* 4+ years' experience in an HSE Advisor / WHSEQ role
* Strong documentation and system development skills
* Ability to work across multiple clients, priorities and environments
* Strong understanding of WHSE legislation and risk management
* Excellent communication and engagement skills (all workforce levels)
* Self‑driven, organised and comfortable in a consultancy‑style role
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience in mining, construction, shutdowns or engineering environments
* Exposure to WHS management systems (ISO‑based or equivalent)
* ICAM or incident investigation capability
* Cert IV TAE or training facilitation experience
* Prior consultancy experience or a strong interest in consulting
