Our Dispute Resolution section has over 115 team members nationally working across all facets of commercial dispute resolution and litigation, including commercial and contractual disputes, banking and financial services litigation, intellectual property, insolvency, public sector, property and construction disputes, regulatory investigations and tax disputes. These roles offer varied and complex work in the areas of commercial and public sector litigation. They are fantastic hands-on roles, with significant learning, development and progression opportunities, and the opportunity to work with interesting clients and complex matters. You will be responsible for: advising on high level and complex commercial and public sector litigation matters; acting on behalf of, and advising, all levels of government on a diverse range of administrative law and commercial dispute matters; negotiation and alternative dispute resolution; drafting court documents, advices, pleadings, preparation of evidence, briefs to counsel and correspondence; and providing specialist legal advice on complex legal issues, including statutory interpretation, administrative law, compulsory acquisition and commercial disputes. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: between 3 and 8 years of post-admission experience in Australia is essential; a strong academic record; experience in general commercial litigation and/or public law, ideally from a large or medium sized law firm; a strong desire to work on commercial litigation and public sector matters, including compulsory land acquisition; strong communication and drafting skills, with outstanding attention to detail; the ability to confidently run matters through dispute resolution processes; and the ability to handle a busy workload with competing timelines.
