Overview of the role:
As a Junior Art Director at BRX, you'll bring creative passion, fresh thinking and sharp execution to the table. You'll support your senior teammates in crafting compelling visual ideas and helping bring campaigns to life across digital, social and traditional channels. Working closely with copywriters, designers, and creative leadership, you'll sharpen your conceptual thinking, design execution and storytelling skills.

About BRX:
BRX is a partnership between Ted Horton (Creative Chairman), Bridget Cleary (CEO), and Marty Hungerford (Chief Digital and Innovation Officer).
The BRX BrandOSX is structured in two parts:
1. Brand Advisory and Platform Development
2. Operating System to deliver advertising assets
We at BRX and Big Red are on a mission to define what the post-AI 'full service' agency and marketing services provider to the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Officer looks like. We believe we are uniquely equipped to provide superior commercial outcomes at scale by being Better, Faster, Smarter.
We operate advertising based on a Brand Operating System, BrandOSX. This means we build robust brand platforms with ownable assets, and then automate and industrialise the execution of advertising and drive constant improvement. We do this with proprietary products (like AdXelerator) and systems including AI that generate on-brand copy, imagery, and strategic frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Expertise & Craft
* Contribute to idea generation and support in shaping creative concepts
* Assist in developing visual assets and campaign elements across digital and traditional channels
* Create layout explorations, design elements, and initial concepts
* Work within established brand systems while learning to explore new creative possibilities
* Use tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud with growing confidence
2. Collaboration & Communication
* Partner with Copywriters and Designers to shape ideas and contribute to campaigns
* Participate in team check-ins, creative reviews, and internal brainstorms
* Accept and act on feedback with curiosity and a willingness to learn
3. Growth & Leadership
* Build confidence through mentorship and hands-on learning
* Take ownership of your development by seeking feedback and embracing training opportunities
* Contribute positively to team energy, creative culture and agency rituals

Experience & Skills:
* 1–2 years of experience in a creative agency or relevant role (internship/freelance accepted)
* Solid foundation in visual design, branding, and layout principles
* Some proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma
* Enthusiasm for digital-first thinking and interest in generative AI tools
* A collaborative spirit and a drive to learn and grow
Performance & Growth:
We are committed to your growth. Regular performance reviews will be held at 3, 6, and 12 months to support your creative development. Reviews will focus on:
