PHIA is the only International Airport in the Pilbara serving more than 500,000 passengers per year and a direct link to the world's largest iron ore export port and proximity to major oil and gas fields.

PHIA is home to domestic and international freight with oversize aircraft capability (Antonov-124), Australian Border Force and Biosecurity operations, refuelling, aviation firefighting, transient worker accommodation, a bulk transport precinct, Port Hedland School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

PHIA is working hard to deliver a revitalised regional airport which makes the Port Hedland community proud and has the ongoing capacity to service mining interests and diverse opportunities including tourism in the region whilst maintaining its safety and security standards and offering enhanced customer experiences.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a senior role within our leadership team reporting directly to the CEO and is responsible for the strategic planning, operational management, and oversight of all physical assets, buildings, infrastructure, and grounds across Port Hedland International Airport. This role ensures the safe, compliant, cost-effective, and sustainable operation and management of our facilities to support smooth transition of our passengers.

This strategic aim is to be delivered by:

* Developing and implementing a facilities management strategy aligned with organisational goals.
* Leading capital projects, including renovations, construction, and infrastructure upgrades.
* Developing long-term maintenance and asset lifecycle plans.
* Leading the maintenance and terminal operations team.

KEY RESULT AREAS

* Manage infrastructure maintenance and reliability by minimising downtime of critical systems;
* Ensure all PHIA assets are managed using energy efficiency and sustainability principles;
* Completion of capital projects on time and within budget;
* Ensure budgets (revenue, operating and capital) are prepared and managed in a timely and accurate basis;
* Demonstrate and endorse PHIA's Vision, Mission and Values.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (SELECTION CRITERIA)

Essential

* Experience in Facilities Management or related role;
* 5 years + experience in facilities or property management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;
* Demonstrated negotiation skills;
* Well-developed and effective oral and written communication skills;
* High degree of demonstrable computer literacy.

Desirable

* Post Graduate qualifications in property, business, or project management;
* Experience in the Aviation environment;

Mandatory

* The appointed employee will be required to undergo a Drug & Alcohol test and Pre-Employment Medical;
* Hold a current WA or National class C driver's licence;
* Hold or ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
