Details: The National Arboretum Canberra and Stromlo Forest Park is seeking an Assistant Director - Business Development to work two days per week under a job share arrangement. As contract manager for the Branch's commercial Agreements, you will ensure onsite partners deliver services in line with contractual obligations and mediate day-to-day issues as they arise. Business development is another key focus, including initiating new commercial procurements to activate the site, and leading projects to increase sponsorships and donations. The position supports the Senior Director/Business Manager with government business reporting, briefs, compliance, and contributes to new initiatives and projects across the Branch as required. Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualifications in Management / Business Administration / Finance or similar would be desirable.
* Current C Class drivers licence would be desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 02 March 2026 until 28 February 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. This position is part-time at (14:42) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
