Residential Youth Worker – DCC Industry Group

About the role:In this role, you will guide and assist our young people with personal care needs such as meal preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, medication administration and accurate medication data recording, facilitating development skills and socialisation, and providing transport to school, appointments and community-based activities. You will also offer trauma‐informed care to children and young people dealing with complex behavioural challenges and trauma backgrounds.
About you:The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and young people, being a strong role model and resilient, and can help the children and young people explore themselves and their culture with good personal values.
We're seeking candidates with flexible schedules, available for a mix of day, night and weekend shifts as needed. These positions require work across 24/7 rotating rostered shifts, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications / Requirements:
* Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar
* Current Blue Card
* Current Yellow Card
* National Crime Check
* LCS Personal History Check
* Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
