About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team at Complete Plumbing and Fire Pty Ltd. In this critical role, you will maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and ensure smooth accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
* Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
* Reconcile financial accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
* Evaluate and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a small business or professional services environment.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
* Proficient in the use of accounting software such as MYOB.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting requirements.
