Shaping Spaces. Shaping Careers.
Backed by a national, ASX-listed construction business with 14 branches and more than 800 people, the SHAPE Darwin team delivers fitout, refurbishment and new build projects across office, government, defence, education, health and community sectors.
That means you’ll gain exposure to a diverse mix of projects, strong mentorship and practical construction experience across sites throughout Darwin and the Northern Territory.
You'll play a key role in:
* Building practical experience across the project lifecycle, supporting projects from tender through to delivery, with a clear pathway into a permanent role.
* Learning side-by-side with experienced mentors while building real skills in project management, supporting project and site teams with day-to-day coordination across live projects.
* Contributing to projects that support the growth of the Northern Territory, as part of a team delivering fitout, refurbishment and new build projects across key sectors.
What You'll Bring:
* No prior industry experience is necessary to join our team. We’re looking for students or recent graduates studying a construction-related course through university, TAFE, vocational training or trade pathways, including construction management, engineering, architecture, building, design or quantity surveying.
* Ability to work a minimum of 3 days per week alongside your studies (flexible around exams and uni breaks).
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency at the time of application.
Why we're a great place to work:
We have the ambitious vision to be 'the place where everyone wants to work'. That's why at SHAPE you'll enjoy:
* An 'Individual Flexibility Plan' to match your work/life needs.
* 5 additional paid leave days every year
* Personalised career development to fast-track your growth with regular check-ins.
* A diverse and inclusive culture, recognised by Human Synergistics and Australian Financial Review.
* Competitive salary and profit-share potential (up to 15% of your salary).
* Work from any of our 14 branches across Australia through our secondment program.
* Health and wellbeing benefits, including mental health support, fitness activities, annual flu vaccinations, and discounted health insurance.
* Regular social events to connect with your colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.
* You’ll have opportunities to give back to your community through our wide range of charity partners and initiatives.
