**The Role
In this key role, you will ensure that all equipment from racking to registers needed for new stores and store renewal is delivered in full and on time. You will be responsible for liaising with the Construction Equipment Project Managers as well as the warehouses managed by third parties, providing effective and cost efficient logistics and administrative support and ensuring on time pick up and delivery of product.
Responsibilities include:
- Supplying equipment for new stores and store renewals
- Coordinating equipment movements in and out of 3rd party warehouses
- Planning, coordinating and managing transport vendor deliverables
- Inventory management between multiple systems including SAP
- Daily reviewing of volumes within our warehouses
- Coordinating equipment rollouts nationally
- Tendering/quoting on freight works on specific projects
- Managing obsolete/redundant stock
- Analysing, checking and processing freight and storage invoices
- Managing store to store requests to move things around store to store
- Weekly reporting
- Liaising and negotiating with vendor deliverables on Auction Houses and Private Treaty
- Building an effective working relationship with suppliers
- Working with relevant managers in order to meet the standards required in stores
- Managing waste & recycling
- Resolving exceptions and damage in-transit
- Carrying out process and systems improvements for consistency of operations
**Who we’re looking for
The person we’re looking for will have an inventory management, purchasing, warehouse, transport or logistics background and will be looking for a role that can offer broad exposure to our business. We’re looking for someone who is great at bringing different stakeholders together to achieve outcomes and someone who is a forethinker and ahead of the curve.
We’re also looking for:
- Experience in a similar Logistics Coordinator role, preferably within Equipment or the Retail Sector or Inventory Management, Purchasing, Warehouse, Transport or Logistics coordination
- Certificate III or IV Transport and/or Warehousing
- Strong administration skills
- High level Microsoft Office Suite in particular with MS Excel (Advanced)
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP
- Ability to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities
- Ability to compare data from different sources to draw conclusions
- A customer service focus
- Strong organisational skills
- An ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Diploma in Logistics an advantage
