Geriatrician Career Opportunity
We are seeking a consultant geriatrician with specialist interest in acute frailty care and clinical lecturer to join our multidisciplinary team.
* This role involves developing innovative 7-day services for older people within hospitals and communities, enhancing patient outcomes through comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment.
* The post holder will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients requiring inpatient care, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and rehabilitation strategies.
Responsibilities:
* To lead the development of multifaceted interventions addressing acute frailty needs
* To contribute to education initiatives as a clinical lecturer promoting best practices in geriatric medicine
* Work closely with colleagues across various disciplines fostering an interdisciplinary approach

A high level of expertise combined with effective communication skills is necessary. Working knowledge of existing frameworks like Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) would be valuable but not required. Organizational skills for managing priorities efficiently under pressure were vital especially given duties can change at short notice due too unpredictable environment.
