Headquartered in Melbourne our client has offices globally and works with clients worldwide to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and ensure creative ideas are executed efficiently and effectively.
Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic global finance team, to manage monthly and quarterly reporting across Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Malaysia, including sales reporting, general ledger reconciliations, P&L reviews, and divisional management reports. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the month-end reporting process to drive efficiencies
* Prepare monthly management reporting packs
* Conduct general ledger reconciliations
* Support Group Reporting to our overseas parent company
* Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
* Perform commercial analysis of financial data
* Manage intercompany loan accounts
* Prepare insurance renewals, monthly BAS, annual FBT returns
* Ensure general ledger integrity and oversee cost accounting
* Coach and support other members of the finance team
* Establish relationships outside finance to deliver variance analysis and commentary
* Prepare ad hoc internal management reports as required
The Candidate
* CA/CPA Qualification or working towards completion
* First mover from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
* Or 2+ years' experience in a global organisation in an industry role
* Strong analytical ability and clear communication skills
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture
* Passionate about improving systems, processes, and supporting team members
