Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing mechanical systems, conceptualizing and prototyping new products, designing and validating integrated mechanical‑electronic systems, and developing advanced automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Research, design and develop intelligent systems, machinery and mechatronic components, devices, and equipment.
* Create automated systems and the software to control them.
* Design prototypes for intelligent systems and mechatronic products.
* Develop design documents for mechanical parts and final products.
* Conduct computer modelling and simulations to assess mechatronic product performance.
* Analyse mechatronics prototype test results and provide solutions for improvement.
* Design, build and implement mechatronic product modifications to improve safety, functionality and reliability.
* Conduct research, document findings and present reports at meetings.
* Identify areas of weakness in the production line or finished products and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related engineering field.
* Relevant work experience.
* Strong foundation in control systems, automation, and embedded software.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and optimise systems.
* Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Documentation and organisation skills.
* Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study and process balancing.

Benefits
Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 per annum + Super.
