The Gippsland Local Health Service Network is looking for Improvement Coordinator to join our growing team on a full or part time EFT) fixed term basis until 30 June 2027.

The Improvement Coordinator is to support the effective delivery of the Safer Together Program (STP) across the Gippsland region. This role strengthens collaboration between health services and supports clinical teams to participate in Safer Care Victoria improvement initiatives. The Improvement Coordinator act as a local improvement resource, offering expertise in quality improvement, problem-solving and change management. Working across multiple health services, Department of Health and Safer Care Victoria, the role is integral to enhancing safety, consistency, and patient outcomes across the region.

The role is part of the Gippsland Local Health Service Network, a Network of eight health services located in Gippsland. Administratively, the role is employed by Latrobe Regional Health.

The role of the Improvement Coordinator is to:

* Coordinate and support regional improvement initiatives, including planning, project oversight, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of activities that strengthen acre care service delivery.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with health services, Safer Care Victoria, the Department of Health, and other partners to support consistent and collaborative improvements.
* Prepare reports, benchmarking data and project documentation for governance committees and regional stakeholders, ensuring projects are evidence-based and aligned with priorities.
* Coordinate regional meetings including agenda preparation, minute-taking and follow-up actions, ensuring effective communication across agencies.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

* Tertiary qualification in a healthcare discipline or related field with demonstrated experience.
* Strong skills in quality improvement, change management and project delivery, with experience achieving measurable outcomes.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing expectations and meet deadlines.
* Highly developed communication, consultation, negotiation and liaison abilities, including engagement with senior clinical and experience stakeholders.
* Collaborative and adaptable, able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.
* Able to work across a broad geographical region with a current driver's licence and capacity for travel.
