Clarity is welcoming applications from experienced clinical leaders to help build and lead a groundbreaking national digital health service—improving access, outcomes and wellbeing for Australians everywhere! Morning, afternoon and evening shifts available across weekdays and Saturday. Comprehensive training and all technology provided. Multiple positions available, with the first clinical intake commencing services in March.

The Program

Clarity is proud to support the delivery of the new Medicare Mental Health Check‐In Service, a national digital mental health service launched on 1 January 2026. This innovative program provides free, guided and accessible digital support, including low‐intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to improve mental health and wellbeing. Available to anyone in Australia, and without the need for a referral, the service offers self‐guided resources and rapid access to mental health practitioners through telehealth, SMS and online chat. The service operates across extended hours, delivering care Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 10.00pm, and 8.00am to 4.00pm on weekends and public holidays, with flexible shift options available.

The Role - Team Leader

We are seeking experienced and passionate Team Leaders to join this program and play a key role in leading and supporting a small team of practitioners. As part of a national operational leadership team, you will oversee service delivery, monitor clinical risk, and ensure consistent, high standards of practice. Team Leaders will also maintain a small, formal caseload as required, balancing clinical expertise with strong people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support a small team of practitioners, providing day‐to‐day guidance, caseload supervision, and feedback to ensure safe, ethical, and high‐quality digital mental health care.
* Deliver high‐quality, person‐centred, digital low‐intensity CBT (LiCBT) to a small group of consumers.
* Working closely with Clinical Supervisors, monitor clinical quality and risk, support practitioners to respond to and manage risk appropriately, reviewing and providing guidance on complex cases, duty‐of‐care issues, and escalation pathways.
* Support clinical governance, professional standards, and alignment to the LiCBT model of care across the team.
* Play a key role in building a capable and engaged clinical workforce through structured onboarding and ongoing guidance, and development opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with Clinical Supervisors and the Clinical Lead to review complex cases, support duty‐of‐care decisions, and manage escalation pathways.
* Contribute to service innovation and evaluation, leveraging digital tools and data insights to improve outcomes and user experience.
* Drive continuous improvement by analysing trends and risks and helping identify opportunities to improve service quality and the experience of those we support.
* Promote clinician wellbeing by fostering a supportive, inclusive, and psychologically safe team culture.

Experience And Qualifications

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, with eligibility to register with the associated professional body (i.e PACFA, ACA, AASW, APHRA).
* Post‐graduate qualifications highly regarded.
* Minimum 5 years post‐registration mental health work experience in a therapeutic counselling environment.
* Demonstrated experience delivering CBT to a diverse client group, with strong clinical judgement and the ability to select appropriate therapeutic interventions.
* Demonstrated experience providing values‐led leadership to mental health practitioners and fostering professional growth and clinician well‐being.
* Experience working within a clinical governance framework, ensuring compliance with professional, ethical and service standards.
* Exceptional communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written) with confidence communicating via video and telephone.
* Demonstrated digital literacy, including experience using client management systems and delivering services via online video platforms.
* The ability to work as part of a team, and in collaboration with all program stakeholders.
* A suitable home office workspace with reliable internet connection.
