Our client is looking for an experienced Communications & Media Advisor to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
* Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to support collaboration and effective communication across projects.
* Develop and implement communication and engagement plans during project planning and delivery phases.
* Create and coordinate media and communication materials, including publications, multimedia, and audiovisual content, ensuring alignment with policies and style guidelines.
* Manage media activities, including monitoring coverage, preparing responses, and maintaining media databases.
* Identify and leverage communication opportunities, conducting research and preparing media releases, background information, and speech notes.
* Handle enquiries and issues professionally, responding to media and community queries and working with project teams to resolve stakeholder concerns.
* Coordinate communication efforts with government agencies and stakeholders, ensuring consistency and proactive engagement throughout projects.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience delivering media and communications activities, including events, publications, and stakeholder engagement for major projects.
* Skilled in supporting the design and implementation of integrated communication and engagement strategies in complex environments.
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for conveying complex messages and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines under pressure, and provide informed recommendations to senior management.
