Join SA Health as an Emergency Department Secretary and play a vital role in supporting our leadership team. In this part-time contract position at Flinders Medical Centre, you'll provide essential administrative support to senior consultants and nursing leadership. This role is integral to the effective functioning of the department and involves coordinating meetings, managing correspondence and documentation, supporting reporting and data processes, and assisting with day-to-day operational priorities. About the role:
Reporting to the Emergency Department Clerical Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:
* Providing administrative support to the clinical leadership team to ensure smooth operational processes.
* Managing reception duties and coordinating appointments to deliver effective service outcomes including but not limited to distribution of mail, supply management, maintenance of immunisation registers, SA Ambulance data collation.
* Drafting correspondence, agenda papers, preparing minutes for prompt distribution and ensuring appropriate follow up
* Promoting clear communication and fostering positive relationships among internal and external stakeholders
About you:
* Experience in the use a variety of office equipment
* Experience with minute taking desirable
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, other staff and a broad range of individuals and groups
* Experience working in a Windows environment and using Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to produce accurate, well-presented work within a reasonable time frame
