Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging training programs tailored to the specific needs of the Indigenous workforce.
* Conduct competency-based assessments to ensure employees can perform tasks safely and effectively.
* Collaborate with store managers to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
* Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity within the workplace.
Requirements:
We're looking for someone with:
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or ability to obtain)
* SIR40316 Certificate III in Retail Operations (or ability to obtain)
* A current Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate
* At least two years' experience as a trainer and assessor, preferably in a retail environment
* Proven ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and social backgrounds
* Flexibility to travel to remote communities for up to a week at a time when required
* Experience using student management systems (VETtrak an advantage)
* HLTAID01 Provide First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
* Additional hospitality certifications (SIT20322, SITHFAB021) highly regarded but not essential
* Ability to adapt to a changing retail environment
