Job Title: Equity Research Analyst
As an equity research analyst, you will be responsible for generating valuable insights and investment ideas for clients.
The role involves supporting senior analysts with specific analysis of individual companies and their equities, including publishing reports, initiating sales calls, and marketing investment opinions. You will also work on various research projects, analyzing market share, macro trends, cross-company analysis, and assessing new/emerging business models, collaborate with the regional/macro team, produce regular reports summarizing findings and predictions, and contribute to overall sector views/pieces.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting senior analysts with specific analysis of individual companies and their equities
* Working on various research projects, analyzing market share, macro trends, cross-company analysis, and assessing new/emerging business models
* Collaborating with the regional/macro team
* Producing regular reports summarizing findings and predictions
* Contributing to overall sector views/pieces
Qualifications:
* Relevant equity research experience covering sell-side or buy-side sectors is preferred
* CA/CFA qualification, and a master's degree in finance/economics
* Strong understanding of the ANZ Banks sectors and macro economy
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
* Excellent modeling skills are required as well as a solid grounding in accounting/financial fundamentals
* Highly analytical thinker and writer
* Ability to respond quickly to changing situations is a must
* Well-developed commercial attitude and client marketing/relationship management skills
