Your new role
We're on the lookout for reliable, driven individuals to join our crew as Trade Assistants for a Painting Crew. This is a full-time temporary position offering a great work-life balance with a 9-day fortnight, enjoy every second Monday off 7:00 AM - 4:00PM.
Responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:
* Transport paint, tools, ladders, and other equipment to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
* Wash, sand, and scrape surfaces to ensure proper adhesion before painting begins.
* Assist painters with mixing paint, refilling trays, and holding or positioning equipment as needed.
* Clean brushes, rollers, and other tools; remove protective coverings and ensure the site is left tidy.
* Monitor stock levels of paint and supplies, and report shortages to supervisors.
* Follow all safety procedures, including wearing PPE and helping maintain a hazard-free environment
What you'll need to be succeed:
To be considered for this role you must have:
* Collaborate closely within a small, dynamic team, reporting directly to the Painting Foreperson based in Mount Isa
* Specialise in high-quality painting services for residential properties and educational facilities
* Take on a versatile role encompassing surface preparation, paint application, and finishing across all aspects of the painting trade
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) protocols, with a proactive attitude toward continuous learning and development
* Willingness to travel to remote and regional locations including the Gulf, Birdsville, Richmond, and Camooweal
* QLD license
