Overview
Creative Connections Art & Poetry Exhibitions – Perth WA. Creative Connections present an annual exhibition where artists with complex needs showcase their work and poets are provided an opportunity to respond to the artwork thus affording a voice to the often non-verbal artist. We are seeking a motivated and skilled person proficient in financial matters to join our dynamic and creative team as Treasurer/Financial Officer. This is not an onerous role and you will be supported by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the financial affairs of the organization and ensure they are legal, constitutional, and within accepted accounting practices.
* Prepare or oversee the preparation of financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) for Committee meetings and the AGM.
* Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Committee.
* Ensure Creative Connections complies with tax regulations, reporting and grant requirements.
* Act as a signatory for bank accounts and maintain a sound internal control system.
* Carrying out any other duty given to the Treasurer as directed by the Committee
What We Are Looking For
* Experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping with access to their own accounting software
* Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse financial data
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
* Working Hours; Casual, Work from Home as required (5-10 hours per month). Committee meeting 2 3.30pm first Monday of the month at Dome, Maylands.
