Pure Foods Tasmania are looking for a Team Leader in our busy and expanding seafood operation based in Woodbridge Hobart.
Woodbridge Smokehouse, located in Woodbridge on the southeast coast of Tasmania, produces premium quality traditionally wood smoked Trout and Atlantic Salmon. Our products are enjoyed domestically around Australia and internationally through our various export markets.
This role will be overseeing the production facility and team, to ensure product is made efficiently, safely and to a high quality.
Woodbridge Smokehouse is one business unit of the Pure Foods Tasmania group, where you will be joining a close knit vertically integrated team and can learn and experience from the broader areas.
**Required Skills**:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a production supervisor role with in a FMCG.
- Previous experience in fish (especially salmon) processing including smoked fish experience is preferred.
- Experience with large volume processing.
- Previous experience in leading small teams and managing tight deadlines.
- Previous exposure to Lean management principles or similar.
- Previous experience with export regulations and within HACCP guidelines.
- Forklift license preferred but not essential.
- Full Drivers Licence required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all site activities at the Woodbridge operation.
- Manage production schedules and logistic operations for the site.
- Manage export manufacturing requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the products and/or production process
