GISA is a leader in the circular and green economy through innovation, collaboration and excellence; improving the environment and wellbeing; creating prosperity and sustainable economic growth; and valuing our resources and reducing pollution and waste.
GISA is an internationally recognised enabler and driver of change, supporting development of the circular economy through diverse collaborations and partnerships which improve productivity, resilience, resource efficiency and the environment. GISA is delivering reduced waste to landfill, increasing the state's capacity for recycling and remanufacturing, and building capability and resilience in disaster waste management.
GISA is also helping businesses to implement sustainable resource efficiency measures and achieve their net-zero ambitions, driving South Australia's actions on single-use plastics, reforming the management of waste and its productive use in a circular economy, and contributing to the development of the broader green economy in South Australia.
South Australia's leadership advantages in the circular economy, renewable energy and digitisation place GISA in an exciting position as the demand for ESG credentials and sustainable economic development increases globally and locally. GISA looks forward to attracting the future thinking required to take GISA and the state to the next level through the appointment of a Board that will help drive a more dynamic green economy. GISA has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
