About the Role
The Procurement Coordinator ensures the timely, cost‐effective and quality supply of parts, components and consumables by sourcing and supplying a vast array of parts and accessories to internal and external customers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workshop productivity, controlling costs, supporting compliance requirements and strengthening supplier partnerships.
Key Duties
* Parts interpretation, purchasing and inventory control to ensure availability of critical components to minimise downtime.
* Proactive customer service with empathy in problem‐solving and actioning parts enquiries.
* Seek quotes and parts availability in a timely manner; evaluate supplier performance (price, delivery, quality, reliability).
* Process requisitions and delivery documents; allocate and price parts for workshop quotes and retail invoicing.
* Participate and engage with supervisors and management in sourcing, stock control, auditing and stock‐taking.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
The Key Team Member We Are Looking For
* Analytical, methodical and strong mathematical ability.
* Good understanding of the automotive/spare parts industry.
* Understanding of heavy/on‐road vehicles, mining and general automotive knowledge is a strong advantage.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a quality phone manner.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
* Work well under pressure.
