At our renowned Sunshine Coast Haematology & Oncology Clinics (SCHOC) site, we are interested in hearing from passionate and dedicated professionals for a permanent part-time Haematology/Oncology Registered Nurse position. This role is offered at 0.4 FTE (approx. 30 hours per fortnight), with no weekend or after-hours work.
Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, we are seeking an experienced haematology/oncology nurse with recent experience in medical haematology and/or medical oncology.

This approach enables our clinic to provide the very best in patient care and ensures we remain flexible and accommodating of our patients’ individual journeys, especially as their condition, needs and circumstances may change over time.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.Practice in accordance with QLD Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills
Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.Recent medical haematology and/or oncology experience..Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.Effective care planning and coordination skills.Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience administering Cytotoxic chemotherapy and related cancer treatments including ADAC chemotherapy competencyCompetency in PICC, PORT, IV Cannulation, and Phlebotomy.
