About the Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, welding codes, and company standards. This role plays a critical part in the manufacture of metal components for a variety of engineering projects.
The successful candidate will be based in Lara your responsibilities are
* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols
* Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick (ARC) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
* Fabricate components using cutting, shaping, and assembly techniques
* Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
* Use and maintain tools including grinders, cutters, and torches
* Inspect welds for quality and compliance (AS/NZS 1554 & AS 1210)
* Set up and maintain welding equipment based on job requirements
* Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform preventative maintenance
About You
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent trade qualification
* Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
* Able to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Committed to safety practices and attention to detail
* Reliable, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently
* Physically fit and capable of handling workshop conditions
* Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
