Bicycles for Humanity WA Inc. (B4H WA) – Midvale WA
B4HWA is a Registered Charity under WA and Commonwealth law and aims to break the cycle of poverty through supporting sustainable small businesses and providing affordable transport through donating refurbished, pre‐loved bicycles to disadvantaged communities. B4H WA sends bikes to NGO and/or Corporate partners in Africa and to schools and community organisations in remote WA/NT.
B4H WA is entirely volunteer run. While its primary operation is a workshop facility in Midvale, this is complemented by Rotary Club run workshops in Geraldton and Esperance, and the Showgrounds Community Men's Shed in Claremont. Together they process several thousand donated bikes each year.
B4H WA is managed by a Management Sub‐Committee (MS‐C) appointed by the Board of Directors. The Board's principal responsibilities are governance and strategic direction. The Board currently comprises the Chairman, the Treasurer and four other experienced directors, one of whom is also Chair of the Management Sub‐Committee.
B4H WA MS‐C currently has 7 members, including Chair, Operations Coordinator, Secretary, WHS&E Supervisor, Administration Manager, Events Manager and one general committee member. There are currently vacant positions for the WA Regional projects coordinator and Social Media Guru.
