Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to work in a leading lithium company with a significant presence globally.


The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing equipment repairs and maintenance to a high standard, ensuring the production plant and utilities operate safely and reliably within approved parameters.

This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8:6, 7:7 roster of dayshift and nightshift from Perth.


Key Responsibilities

* Complete daily mechanical maintenance activities as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor to achieve the maintenance plan.
* Troubleshoot machine components to determine causes of failures when required, including gathering of failure evidence for later analysis.
* Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
* Provide information and experience to assistants in their duties.
* Participate in special projects whenever required.
* Maintain punctuality at all times.
* Ensure parts are used properly within the work order task descriptions as intended.
* Return unused parts for credit and place them back in the stores warehouse immediately.
* Ensure that on completion of repair, all parts removed are cleaned and tagged with information tags noting the associated work order details.
* Ensure all company tools are returned to the proper area (e.g., tool cabinets, tool storage areas) after use on a daily basis.
* Ensure that the surrounding work area and workshops are maintained in a clean and safe state.
* Raise improvement opportunity ideas with Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent.


About You

* Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant).
* Forklift
* Confined Space
* Working with Heights
* Fixed plant experience in a mine processing plant environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work well in a team in remote areas.
* Strong commitment towards safety and quality.
