We are also a proud part of the world renowned- Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous- improvement of clinical care.- The Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a major tertiary and quaternary- referral centre, apart from transplantation with particular strengths in interventional Cardiology,- electrophysiology and pacing, and adult congenital heart disease. The Department is affiliated- with the University of Melbourne with major interests in arterial grafting, off-pump bypass,- valve repair, aortic and adult congenital surgery.- This position is for a Cardiologist with experience and expertise in Electrophysiology/pacing and- defibrillator implantation. This position would suit a Cardiologist interested in ongoing clinical- research and teaching. The appointment includes sessions in the cardiac catheter laboratory,- Cardiology outpatient clinic and rotations on ward service.**Formal Qualifications required**
- Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia
- FRACP and AHPRA registration in Cardiology
- Higher degree (PhD or MD) is highly favourable.
