About the roleThiess Sonoma Mine situated 10km south of Collinsville are seeking an experienced HV Electrician for permanent full-time position to join our project.As our next High Voltage Electrician, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.In this position you will:Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.Work safely and comply with the site safety health and management system.Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs and periodical statutory electrical testing/ inspections to a high regard.Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilization.Our requirementsTo be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate, with post-trade experience working in the Mining industry with diesel electric haul trucks, preferably Hitachi AC, Liebherr, Komatsu or CatSound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007Experienced in high voltage equipment maintenanceExperience conducting statutory testing on electrical infrastructure.Statement of Attainment for HV SwitchingRegistered cabler would be an advantageWhat Thiess can do for you7/7 Even time, lifestyle roster - 12-hour day and night shiftAttendance bonus - $450.00 per fortnightRetention bonus - $10,000 (inclusive of superannuation)Full camp facilities providedBIBO from Townsville or DIDO optionsLiving out of camp allowance, if applicableSalary sacrifice options - flights & novated leasingAbout usTo find out more about our company, visit the following links;Our HistoryOur Vision, purpose, valuesOur ProjectsSustainability& MOREHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, please click the 'Apply' button.Thiess follows a Pre-Employment Process for all successful applicants, which includes two employment references, a national police check and a medical assessment.Please click the "apply" button to apply for this role
