What does the job look like?
Join Linfox's Retail team as an AM Transport Allocator in Dandenong South and take the wheel in a fast-paced, rewarding role! You'll be responsible for rostering and managing fleet drivers, ensuring smooth planning and communication, and driving maximum fleet efficiency – all while enjoying a balanced 4-on, 4-off roster from 4 am to 4 pm.
Key areas:
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.
Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them.
Always Commit to Safety Standards and COR requirements, including daily compliance tasks such as yard inspections, speed and fatigue audits, and load restraint checks.
Are you the one?
We're looking for motivated individuals interested in transport operations, including scheduling and allocation. Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate. You can demonstrate:
Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is highly regarded, but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills – experience with TMS is highly regarded
Strong geographical knowledge of Melbourne metro and surrounding areas
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, remaining organised and productive.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
