You will join a team that is responsible for data acquisition, validation, loading and publishing of performance reporting and insight dashboards. The team is also responsible for providing the Performance Reporting and Performance Insights teams with access to data and partnering with these teams, as required, to assist in the production of reports.
What you'll do
This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a performance reporting data warehouse to support high-quality, fit-for-purpose data. The position delivers complex analysis, develops dashboards and reports, and provides data quality and performance insights across clinical, administrative and financial systems to support benchmarking and improved healthcare outcomes in Queensland. Working with a high level of independence, the role collaborates closely with data custodians and stakeholders to improve data quality, design user-focused reporting solutions, and develop advanced analytical and predictive models. The role also provides expert advice on data limitations and opportunities, contributes to continuous improvement in data management practices, and works in alignment with Queensland Health values and policies.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Experience in developing SQL queries, stored procedures, scheduled jobs and other components required to establish and manage a data warehouse
Experience in developing Qlik Sense applications. Equivalent experience with other visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) will be considered.
Experience in setup and configuration of an SQL Server database on a Windows Server host. This experience in optional but will be considered advantageous for one of the potential projects.
Proven high level knowledge and understanding of performance reporting and data analytics within a health-related environment including the ability to visualise, articulate, conceptualise and problem solve
Proven interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively at a high level with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding the development and implementation of organisational priorities
