Job Title
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and supervision of all warehouse activities, ensuring that all safety aspects are adhered to.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role within a warehouse environment, preferably in the timber industry. They will also possess a Forklift licence and be confident in the usage of a forklift in a warehouse environment.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and dispatching products to customers. They will also be responsible for managing and motivating a team of warehouse staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Compliance with all safety and environmental procedures/responsibilities;
* Responsible for the efficient and effective supervision of warehouse staff and activities;
* Use of the WMS (Warehouse Management System) to optimise warehouse performance;
* Manage and motivate the workforce to ensure that products are stored and shipped out accurately and efficiently;
* Ensure proper transport, packaging and placement of products; and
* Management of inventory, including damages.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years experience within a leadership role in a warehouse environment (Timber Industry preferred);
* Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management;
* Possess a Forklift licence & must be confident in the usage of a forklift in a warehouse environment;
* Sound working knowledge of WH&S requirements and implementing same;
* Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees;
* Excellent organisation and efficient time–management skills;
* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills;
* Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions under pressure;
* Previous Warehouse and pick and packing experience; and
* Certificate III Warehousing Operations (not essential, but will be highly regarded).
