The Reconstruction Coordination team is a high-impact team driving the reconstruction of NSW public infrastructure. We are seeking suitably qualified professionals to support communities affected by natural disasters via assessment of infrastructure recovery funding under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Manager, Reconstruction Engineering and Cost Assessment
Clerk GR 11/12 (Base remuneration from $149,739 – $173,174) + super.
* Oversee the formal assessment and processing of Category B funding applications, including Essential Public Asset Reconstruction (EPAR), Emergency Works (EW) and Immediate Reconstruction Works (IRW).
* Lead a team focused on compliance, audit readiness and collaboration with stakeholders to drive best‐practice funding governance across disaster reconstruction programs.
Senior Engineering Assessment Officer (x3)
Clerk GR 9/10 (Base remuneration from $129,464 – $142,665) + super.
* Technical role requiring qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying or construction.
* Assess infrastructure damage, validate scope of works and ensure compliance with DRFA guidelines.
* Apply disaster recovery funding expertise to assess infrastructure damage and ensure compliance.
About You
We are seeking proven experience in managing and administering disaster recovery funding programs, specifically DRFA or similar government funding schemes. You have a strong understanding of compliance and audit requirements related to infrastructure and reconstruction works.
It is key that you have familiarity with infrastructure reconstruction practices, including understanding technical documentation, cost estimation and project management within disaster recovery efforts.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in funding assessment or infrastructure recovery.
* Must meet the criteria of a Suitably Qualified Professional (SQP) under the DRFA – typically a qualified Engineer or Quantity Surveyor with relevant experience.
