The Mullum Co-Op is seeking an organised and proactive Operations Supervisor for its Myocum site (Wards Landscape Supplies), to oversee daily delivery scheduling, manage truck drivers, and coordinate site, vehicle and equipment maintenance across our operations. This is a key role that keeps our business running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is confident in managing people, customer-centric, calm under pressure, and experienced in logistics, dispatch, or operations within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule and coordinate mutli-site deliveries for all customer orders
* Oversee and support truck drivers, ensuring routes, loads, and priorities are clearly communicated
* Manage yard-based staff to ensure on-site production, bulk stock replenishment and quick turnaround of delivery vehicles, is coordinated effectively
* Monitor driver performance, attendance, and compliance with company procedures
* Coordinate truck and equipment maintenance, servicing and repairs
* Liaise with mechanics, service providers, and management regarding maintenance schedules
* Adjust delivery plans due to weather, breakdowns, staffing changes, or customer needs
* Communicate delivery times and updates with customers and internal staff
* Maintain accurate delivery, driver, and maintenance records
* Coordinate multi-site maintenance activities such as grass cutting, building repairs etc
* Promote safe work practices and efficient operations across both sites
Skills & Experience
* Experience in scheduling, dispatch, sales, logistics and/or operations co-ordination
* Proven ability to oversee drivers or operational staff
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Clear and confident communication style
* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
* Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling or POS systems
* Knowledge of transport operations, maintenance scheduling, or landscape supplies is highly regarded
* Forklift or truck licence knowledge is an advantage
