Job Overview
Dorevitch Pathology is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join its team in the Bendigo Laboratory. This role involves routine receipting and processing of specimens, pre and post analytical specimen handling, identification and prioritization of urgent specimens, filing and storage of specimens and data entry.
* Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers
* Pre and post analytical specimen handling
* Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
* Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
* Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, be able to cope and thrive in a busy environment, work with minimal supervision and as part of a team, understand the importance of following procedures accurately, adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures, and have a willingness to learn and develop their skills.
