Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million personal and small business customers. Within RBS, the Wealth & Private Team is responsible for the full spectrum of a customer’s wealth needs. It comprises teams focussed on wealth creation and wealth protection, ranging from mass market to mass affluent to high-net-worth customer segments. Do work that matters As Senior Product Manager – Distribution Strategy & Execution, you will be responsible for developing the frontline channel strategy to activate branch, business bank, premier and our contact centres on SMSF cash & deposit product originations. This includes influencing the channel roadmap & design, managing key business partnerships, digital feature delivery, distribution & business development, pricing and policy, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our products meet customer needs and risks are managed effectively. On any given day you will; Develop and implement the SMSF Distribution strategy, objectives and roadmap to optimise business performance and enhance the customer experience. Analyse and shape business problems and opportunities within the Mass Affluent and High Net Worth segments, providing actionable recommendations. Leverage analytics and insights to design conceptual solutions and deploy targeted initiatives aligned with strategic goals. Monitor external market trends, regulatory changes, and innovations to maintain a market-leading proposition. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and segmentation to identify growth opportunities, enhance product features, and improve NPS. Lead strategic projects, owning workstreams end-to-end and independently managing deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders across distribution, product, finance, marketing, and our support teams to deliver effective execution plans. Own the end-to-end product risk and control environment, including governance, issue management, remediation, and regulatory responses. Track performance and delivery outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Coach and mentor product managers within the squad and chapter. We’re interested in hearing from people who have Proven strategy and execution experience within banking or a customer-centric industry. Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability present to and influence a vast array of stakeholders including Senior Leadership. Strong product management or distribution background with expertise in SMSF, Deposits product or the superannuation industry preferred. Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills. Passion for identifying opportunities, designing initiatives, and driving impactful change. A customer-centric approach to addressing business challenges. Advanced analytical and presentation skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, tailored for executive audiences. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role. Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders across diverse business areas. A bias for action and resilience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Strong organisational skills, time management, and confident presentation capability. Experience delivering complex, large-scale projects, preferably within Agile delivery frameworks.
