The Opportunity We are looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Cremorne office, focusing on the Automotive & Manufacturing sector. This is a sales-driven, relationship-focused role where you will learn to build and manage your own recruitment desk from the ground up. You will work directly with Managing Director, Tavis Shearer (25 years industry experience) and receive hands-on training, real responsibility, and clear progression pathways. What You’ll Be Doing Source, screen, and place candidates across Automotive & Manufacturing roles Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients Manage the full 360 recruitment lifecycle (candidate client ownership) Proactively win new business through calls, networking, and referrals Utilise JobAdder, LinkedIn, and digital sourcing tools to identify talent Provide consultative advice to clients on market trends and hiring needs Maintain strong candidate pipelines and CRM data integrity Deliver a high level of service, communication, and follow-up What We’re Looking For You don’t need recruitment experience — but you must bring the right mindset.
