Who are we looking for?
With a strong pipeline of major projects commencing in early 2026, we are looking to grow our Water Planning team in Sydney with two experienced Engineers, specialising in Water & Wastewater Network Planning at Senior or Technical Director level.
In this role, you'll apply your expert knowledge to deliver challenging planning projects for key clients in Sydney and beyond.
As a technical leader, your responsibilities will include managing projects, providing operational support, engaging in business development, working with clients, and helping grow our team's skills by mentoring others.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
* Delivery of prominent and impactful water and wastewater projects across NSW, Australia, and internationally
* Applying technical expertise, project management, business development and client relationship skills in leading the delivery of proposals, investigations, and technical projects
* Leading in solution development and preparing technical reports, and presentations
* Establishing and sustaining robust client relationships, encompassing business development activities and ongoing engagement throughout the delivery of projects
What you will bring to the team:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, coupled with 12 or more years of experience that includes water and wastewater systems planning and hydraulic modelling
* The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle
* Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals
* Expert skills in water and wastewater systems planning and network modelling
* Strong project management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
