Job Title: FIFO Truck Driver (Subcontractor)
Location: Perth, WA (Fly‑in Fly‑out)
Pay: $60/hour (Subcontractor)
Hours: 60–70 hours per week
Overview
Seeking an experienced, reliable FIFO Truck Driver to join a subcontractor crew based in Perth, WA. This is a contractor role with extended weekly hours and FIFO roster to regional mine sites and projects.
Key responsibilities
* Safely operate heavy vehicles (truck/prime mover) to transport materials, equipment and supplies to and from site
* Perform pre‑start and post‑trip vehicle inspections; report defects promptly
* Secure and load cargo according to load restraint procedures and site requirements
* Follow route plans, site access protocols and traffic/OSHA/IOSH regulations
* Maintain accurate logbooks, timesheets and subcontractor paperwork
* Communicate professionally with site personnel and transport coordinators
* Perform basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Requirements
* Current and valid heavy vehicle licence appropriate to role to MC — please specify what you hold
* Minimum 2 years driving experience in heavy vehicle operations
* Current National Police Check and Right to Work in Australia
* Working at Heights, CPT, or other site tickets (specify if required) — e.g., Construction Induction Card (White Card), Site Induction, Medical/Drug & Alcohol clearance as required by client
* FIFO experience preferred; able to comply with roster and travel requirements
* Strong safety focus, punctuality and good communication skills
* Own ABN and ability to invoice as a subcontractor
Roster & Conditions
* FIFO roster (details to be confirmed at interview) — contractors must be able to mobilise from Perth
* 60–70 hours per week (overtime and weekend work may be required depending on roster)
* Subcontractor arrangement; contractor supplies own PPE and may be required to supply certain tools/insurances
