Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may be selected from this process. Both options remain valid for six (6) months from the date the recruitment decision is endorsed.
Position Profile
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to join Next Step Services as a Program Manager. In this position, the successful candidate (in consultation with the co-directors of Hospital Logistics and Acute Access) will be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day delivery of Next Step Drug & Alcohol Service programs. The successful candidate will plan, develop, coordinate, implement, evaluate and report on program activities as well as the operational management of physical, human, and financial resources of the program. The candidate will work collaboratively with partners, including NGO providers, to implement the Integrated Services Service Model. Area Profile:
The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises a network that serves more than 800,000 Western Australians in its catchment area, providing a range of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, trauma, surgery, medical, mental health, palliative care, rehabilitation and women's, children's and neonates services. EMHS includes Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and associated community services.
Next Step is the leading Government Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service in Western Australia, providing a range of clinical services including:
Outpatient services at East Perth and integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations
The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth
Onsite pharmacy service at East Perth
Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service
Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service
