The Service

KU Kintaiba Children's Centre

KU Kintaiba is a 59-place Long Day Care service nestled among the tranquil bushland of the University of Newcastle campus. Our architectural facility features four rooms dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for children up to 5 years old. We operate from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering a supportive environment where both children and educators thrive.

The Role

We are looking for a team player with a Certificate III qualification that is committed to creating a nurturing and educational environment for children and shows passion and dedication whilst promoting inclusion, equity and sustainability.

We have two opportunities available:

- Full-time permanent position (8 hours a day Monday to Friday. accruing a rostered day off once a month)
- Part-time position (8 hours a day Thursday and Friday)

Applicants should have:

- Australian working rights
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
- Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
