This is a permanent full-time, permanent part-time, fixed-term full-time, and fixed-term part-time appointment, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/08/2026.

Join our team at the Research Support and Development Unit at SMHS as a Research Governance Coordinator. In this role, you will facilitate the local governance of research in accordance with local, state, and national guidelines. This relates to the initiation and monitoring of research. You will liaise with researchers, Human Research Ethics Committees, Trial Sponsors, Insurance Commission of Western Australia, WA Department of Health, and hospital administrators regarding research submissions. You will review Site Specific Assessment Forms and Site Access Request Forms, making recommendations to the Director of Research regarding the conduct of research at SMHS sites.
