About the Role
We are currently seeking an HSE Coordinator to join our team in Mulwala on Yorta Yorta land.
As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting health, safety, and environmental outcomes across the site. You will help drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with HSE standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and ongoing management of HSE systems, processes, and initiatives.
* Maintain and improve documentation, reporting, and records across HSE activities.
* Leverage expertise in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ISO HSE standards, and database/competency management systems.
* Coordinate HSE-related data, training records, and competency tracking.
* Assist with audits, inspections, investigations, and compliance activities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by applying sound judgment, proactive thinking, and a forward‐looking mindset.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Promote and support a positive safety culture through strong communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
* Certificate or diploma in Health and Safety, Environment, Science, Engineering, Psychology, or a related discipline is highly regarded but not essential.
* Genuine passion for working within a diverse team united by a common purpose.
* Experience participating in HSE activities (committees, risk assessments, etc.) and interest in learning more about HSE.
* Strong capability in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and database/competency management system.
* Excellent time management skills and high level of attention to detail.
* The ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
* Proactive approach, sound judgment, and practical problem‐solving mindset.
* Outstanding communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
