We're looking for a motivated Senior Ecologist to join our Ecology team in Perth.
Our Environment business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, air and noise assessments services. Our diverse team contributes to a wide variety of projects, with a strategic focus on renewable energy, critical minerals and Defence at a regional, national and global scale.

Responsibilities
* Undertake and lead biological surveys throughout Western Australia.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation to support referrals and environmental assessments.
* Prepare winning proposals to support business growth.
* Travel throughout the state to undertake surveys, often in remote locations for extended survey periods.
* Conduct specific biological surveys and assessments.
* Maintain knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements for ecology and approvals.
* Make technical decisions and provide solutions based on expertise.
Qualifications
* Bachelor degree qualification in environmental science or ecology discipline.
* 5+ years' relevant ecology experience, within Western Australia preferred but not mandatory.
* Current drivers' licence (c class), manual preferred.
* Proven experience in and a sound understanding of current environmental issues and legislation.
* Proven experience in proposal development and project management and working as part of a team.
* Proven experience in supervision of junior team members, with the ability to mentor.
* Ability to deliver critical project outcomes under pressure with enthusiasm and drive.
