Rumbalara Elder's Facility is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to coordinate culturally grounded activities that promote joy, independence, and a sense of belonging for our Elders.
Job Description
* Design, coordinate, and deliver leisure and lifestyle programs that are inclusive, engaging, and meaningful to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
* A qualification in Lifestyle and Leisure or willingness to obtain
* And/or qualification in Aged Care
Skills:
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and experience facilitating Men's Business in a culturally appropriate and respectful way
* Proven ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate recreational and rehabilitative programs for older adults, particularly within Aboriginal communities
* Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and appropriately for Elders' needs
* Empathetic and mature approach with the ability to engage and build rapport with older people
* Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Commitment to confidentiality and to working within the culture of the Rumbalara Elders Facility

We offer competitive pay and conditions based on the Aged Care Award – Direct Care level 2 -5 (based on experience and qualifications). Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
