Role Overview
The Head of Faculty – Theatre plays a pivotal role in shaping student learning experiences by leading the way in curriculum development, pedagogical approaches, assessment strategies, and teaching practices within the Theatre Faculty across Years 7–12.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective curriculum frameworks to ensure high academic standards
* Collaborate with teaching staff to create inclusive classrooms where students are challenged, supported, and motivated to excel
* Design and deliver professional growth plans to enhance teaching effectiveness and foster collaboration
* Work closely with the broader School Teaching and Learning team to ensure teaching practices reflect the latest research and best practice
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in Education (postgraduate qualifications an asset)
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
* Comprehensive teaching experience with a proven track record as an outstanding teacher
* Excellent influencing and conflict resolution skills
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and fostering collaboration for consistent outcomes
