The Island at Elizabeth Quay is searching for an experienced, energetic, and hands‑on Restaurant / Assistant Venue Manager to help lead our front‑of‑house team and deliver exceptional service in a truly unique setting.
With stunning views of the Swan River, Perth City, and Kings Park, this isn't just a workplace — it's an island in the heart of the Quay, buzzing with locals, tourists, corporates, and families every day.
About the Role
Working closely with the Venue Manager, you'll help oversee daily operations across all areas of the venue. You'll lead by example, ensure smooth and efficient service, support and develop the team, and uphold the high standards The Island is known for.
This is a full‑time role, ideal for someone who is motivated, ready to step up, and eager to grow in a vibrant, fast‑paced environment.
About You
* Proven experience in a hospitality management role
* Strong knowledge of food & beverage service with a passion for quality
* Confident leader who can inspire, train, and motivate a dynamic team
* Skilled in rostering, ordering, and stock management
* Comfortable with till operations, balancing, and end‑of‑day procedures
* Hands‑on, flexible, and always willing to roll up your sleeves
* Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset
* Able to multitask and thrive under pressure
* Current RSA and Approved Manager's Certificate
* Must be Perth‑based and ready to start immediately
