Are you a sharp, ambitious graduate lawyer or junior lawyer who is ready to work in a litigation-focused practice, with an emphasis on property and commercial litigation of varying complexity and for a diverse range of clients? Do you share the firm's ambition to grow your career into something extraordinary?
If you're looking for a firm where you will have the opportunity to learn fast, take on meaningful responsibility, and be personally mentored by a Principal who is invested in your growth and very experienced Special Counsel, this is your chance.
What You Will Do
* Work directly with the Principal and/or Special Counsel on complex, high-value disputes.
* Draft affidavits and court documents with hands-on feedback.
* Speak and correspond with the Court (including drafting and submitting Online Court requests, and emails to the Chambers of Judicial Officers), counsel, clients, witnesses and others on the team.
* Be involved in strategising, working as part of a team and running discrete aspects of larger matters and some matters entirely, depending on experience.
What You Will Gain
* Accelerated learning: you will see in 12 months what many lawyers see in 3 or more years.
* Close mentorship: direct access to an experienced Principal and exposure to leading practitioners, including, at times, Senior Counsel.
* Career clarity: whether you want to be a Senior Associate, a litigator, or one day go to the Bar, we will listen and provide opportunities for you to learn and grow.
What We Are Looking For
* 0–3 years' PAE.
* Curiosity, initiative, and close attention to detail.
* Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, with a desire to step out of your comfort zone and accelerate your development.
* Someone who takes ownership and pride in the quality and speed of their work, while managing their time effectively.
* Technical rigour, have you formed a view, if not, why not (do you need more information?), if so, what are the qualifications and assumptions.
* Taking a structured and methodical approach to matter management.
* Crisp, concise, clear communication tailed to its audience.
